Life Skills Enhancements

Recreation and leisure activities are critical dimensions of the quality of life for all people, including those with intellectual or other developmental disabilities. These activities allow people to have fun, meet new friends, and develop skills.

CLASS’ Life Skills Enhancement Services enrich individual lives through exploration of interests; development of skills; increased involvement in community recreational, social, and leisure activities; and increased opportunities for community participation through volunteerism.

Some Life Skills Enhancement activities include:
Delivering meals for local Meals on Wheels programs in Coffeyville and Independence.
Attending sporting events at local schools, colleges, and universities
Participating in art and drama therapy classes
Competing in Special Olympics events
Volunteering at local animal shelters
