The goal of Life Skills Enhancement services is to improve the quality of life for individuals with disabilities by providing training and opportunities to optimize their participation in the community through person and social development.
This service provides a wide variety of opportunities based on the individual’s identified interests and needs. These may include socialization and recreation activities, employment opportunities, community inclusion, opportunities for volunteerism, environmental awareness/stimulation, training in following directions, adapting to work routines, carrying out assigned duties, acquiring appropriate situational attitudes and habits, adjusting to the productive and social demands of the workplace, mobility training, use of transportation opportunities, and more.
